Brief history of Paulo Miranda Joalheiro

The Miranda family connection extends back to the beginning of the twentieth century when Paulo's great grandfather, Manuel de Oliveira Miranda, son of Vilamar, Coimbra, founded his business. In the middle of that century his grandfather, Manuel de Oliveira Miranda Junior, came to the Algarve and opened stores in Faro and Olhão. The company became the sector leader in the Algarve, already under his control. Paulo became a key player in 70s.

At the end of the century, with over twenty years experience, representing prestigious brands and gathering a wide personal customer database, Paulo Miranda decided to create his own company in 1998, opening his first store in Albufeira. After the good results achieved there, in 2002 he opened a second branch in the brand new Forum Algarve in Faro. The latter became the heart of the company, a flagship. with a valued reputation regionally and nationally, well respected as a key player in the world of high-end jewellery and watches.

In 2007, Paulo Miranda Joalheiro enlarged the store in Forum Algarve, introducing new brands like Jaeger-LeCoultre and Montblanc. They are also representatives of other luxury brands such as H. Stern in the field of jewellery and IWC, Breitling and Omega, for example, from the world of haute horology.
